Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, 1amp;1c, Ag&Ae
This design by Longacre is a true representation of a poor piece of taxidermy. No eagle flys with pointed wings! The model, Peter, a free-flying bald eagle that lived at the Mint is stuffed and on display at the Philadelpia Mint to this day.
